Profession: Interior Design City: London Country: United Kingdom
What inspired you to want a life in Architecture and the creative industries?: My love for combining my interest in construction and complex form in the world of architecture and more, led me to the world of interior design. Also, given my experience in dRMM which made me realise my success and failures, which was dealing with a form of hardship at a place I had no control of, which effected my punctuality. In addition to that it made me realise how adaptable I am in fast paced environment. My skill extends beyond the world of architecture and beyond.
Who inspired you in finding your path to Architecture/Film and the creative industries?: ARCHITECTS – Such as Francis Kere, David Adjaye and Kengo Kuma led me to the world of architecture. Initially Knox Bahvan architects was another inspiration as they’re familiar with sustainable but small scale project compared to dRMM, as a designer it is motivating to see the growth of a small architectural firm.
How you unlock obstacles and overcome bias in your work?: By simplifying the outcome of the task that can come into play.
What improvements do you feel are required to promote effective change in the academic and working environment?: More time on giving credit to accredited designers and more time on giving some money to those that work above the norm, whether it be FF&E, Conceptual Design, Brick Layering, and final development.
