Motherhood inspired me. Raising my five children and mentoring others, being surrounded by remarkable individuals, ignited my inspiration for a life in the creative education industries. Motherhood triggered me to become distinguished figure in personal development/ business, and parenting industry. Also of which instilled in me the importance of making a positive impact. Our family BEN SALMI FAMILY MANTRA AND ANTHEM:
“BEN SALMI TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAMWORK
We believe that there is no such thing as failure only feedback.
We also believe that the journey of one thousand miles begins with a single step in the right direction
FAMILY ANTHEM
If you want to be somebody,
If you want to go somewhere,
You better wake up and
PAY ATTENTION
I’m ready to be somebody,
I’m ready to go somewhere,
I’m ready to wake up and
PAY ATTENTION!
The question is ARE YOU?
Emphasised the belief that failure is merely feedback, and the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step in the right direction. This mantra encouraged me to recognise the potential for creativity and innovation in every situation. Being surrounded by authors, publishers, public speakers, and mentors, I learned the power of words, ideas, and collaboration. Our family’s commitment to empowerment, showcased through various initiatives like Dreaming Big Together, the Ben Salmi Schools Tour with Virgin Money and individual signature workshops, fueled my desire to contribute to the creative landscape. Witnessing the family’s acknowledgment in the credits of the movie “How Thoughts Become Things” and being sponsored by Chelsea F.C. Foundation and Virgin Money further solidified my belief in the transformative power of creativity. In this environment, where dreams are nurtured, passions are celebrated, and every family member is a beacon of inspiration, I found my calling in the creative industries. The Ben Salmi family’s dedication to leaving a positive legacy and empowering others continues to shape my journey toward a life filled with creativity, purpose, and meaningful contributions. Who inspired you in finding your path?
I am inspired by my childhood and my children, family, friends and mentors and a multitude of life experiences. I’m deeply inspired and fascinated by the depth of complexity and simplicity of family dynamics and I have huge dreams to support family both nationally and internationally.
How you unlock obstacles and overcome bias in your work?
To unlock obstacles and overcome bias in my work, I approach challenges with resilience and a solution-oriented mindset. I actively seek diverse perspectives, fostering an inclusive environment that values everyone’s input. By embracing feedback and continuously learning, I strive to break down barriers and navigate around biases, ensuring a fair and equitable approach in all aspects of my work.
What improvements do you feel are required to promote effective change in the academic and working environment?
To promote effective change in both the academic and working environments, I believe fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity is crucial. Emphasising equal opportunities, providing resources for skill development, and encouraging open dialogue can contribute to a more supportive atmosphere. Additionally, integrating innovative teaching methods and workplace practices that adapt to evolving technologies and societal needs is essential for creating a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. I strongly believe that in order for a change to be made in academic and working environments, it’s absolutely paramount that we form diverse advisory boards, this reminds me of a piece that I once wrote pertaining to the importance of having diversity in the boardroom in an Arabian Business article: https://www.arabianbusiness.com/?s=Sabrina+Ben+salmi
