What inspired you to want a life in Architecture and the creative industries?:
From an early age, I have been deeply drawn to art in all its forms, while also cultivating a strong sensitivity to social issues and the needs of marginalized communities. This dual interest led me to pursue a degree in Architecture, with the ambition of using my professional skills as a means to support and empower others. During my academic journey, I specialized in humanitarian architecture, focusing on how to restore dignity to individuals living in emergency contexts—such as those affected by climate crises or displaced by war. This path allowed me to engage with peers from around the world, broadening my perspective through diverse cultural viewpoints, and ultimately led to collaborations with leading figures in humanitarian architecture in Italy.
Who inspired you in finding your path to Architecture/Film and the creative industries?:
I was inspired by great figures not only from the world of architecture, such as Renzo Piano and Shigeru Ban, but also from other fields, like Gino Strada, founder of Emergency. Beyond being a doctor, he worked closely with expert architects such as Raul Pantaleo to build hospitals and care centers in contexts of urgent need.
How you unlock obstacles and overcome bias in your work?:
I approach obstacles as opportunities for growth, embracing collaboration and adaptability, with a problem-solving mindset. To overcome bias, I listen deeply, welcome diverse perspectives, and let empathy guide my decisions.
What improvements do you feel are required to promote effective change in the academic and working environment?:
I believe that effective change starts with empathy and listening. In both academic and professional environments, fostering inclusivity, valuing diverse perspectives, and encouraging open dialogue can create spaces where people feel supported and inspired. By nurturing collaboration and embracing continuous learning from mistakes, we can drive meaningful innovation and positive transformation.
