What inspired you to want a life in Architecture and the creative industries?:
I actually don’t know! I think I wanted to work in a team on making something big. And that’s all I really knew before embarking on studying architecture.

Who inspired you in finding your path to Architecture/Film and the creative industries?:

I went to work at the Architects’ Journal around 2010 as my first job in journalism and the editors there were very kind and generous, helping me to learn the ropes and encouraging my confidence in writing.

How you unlock obstacles and overcome bias in your work?: Talking and keeping an open mind. I’m lucky in my job to interview and talk to people from all over the globe and every time I talk to someone I find a different way of looking at a problem or a new perspective on something.

What improvements do you feel are required to promote effective change in the academic and working environment?:
I think academic and work environments can be quite closed, almost ‘clubs’ with access controlled by who you know. I’m honestly not sure how to break this down as it will always persist, but when someone does break through I feel they have a duty to lift others up.
