What inspired you to want a life in Architecture and the creative industries?:
I always dream of creating some designs and making the public feel impressed of my creativity and design direction ever since in my childhood. When I was a child, I like to spend my hours drawing some spaces, some concepts that connects to my design development and evolving my designs into a real-world spaces from my imagination. With all of my talent that I have recieved, my greatest wish has finally come true. Architecture feels like giving birth to me, gave some kindness and passion of my feelings which makes me realise that this industry has given me that the right path that I should pursue my dream. For my career, architecture was a perfect blend for the amount of creativity, problem-solving and social impact that I’ve come up in my imagination in order to create a challenge of turning Architecture with sustainability and inclusitivity. Overall, I am always passionate of not only shaping some spaces within my designs but also growing the awareness of sustainability, functionality and a user-friendly environment.
Who inspired you in finding your path to Architecture/Film and the creative industries?:
My tutors in Birmingham City University, which I studied Interior Architecture and Design in this university, inspired me for finding my path to Architecture. They are the reason for my success and I feel appreciated of their support, feedback and trust on me, my talent and my personal design projects. I’m grateful to have these tutors who supported me for full 3 years of my course.
How you unlock obstacles and overcome bias in your work?:
To achieve this, I must start creating my own design brief because it’s important to understand the client about what kind of design project that I’m working on before I begin this seriously. Once the design brief was completed, I must start do some research and analysis and some case studies to support my design brief and explain how it connects to my overall project and the user experience. I also need some feedback to my team to give some improvements so that I can use this to explore my project way further. Then I create some concept designs and models and test them in the existing spaces so that it can be used to meet the standards of my design brief and bring the user experience of my design back to its functionality and value. I also need to create some spatial plans to test spaces that feels suitable for the user experience before I prepare to design some techincal drawings and it is important to do this because spatial planning can make the client and the audience understand about the circulation of the spaces when it was used as a reference to my techical drawings and how it affects their opinions. Once the spatial planning was finalised, I must create iterative floors plans and show it to my team to get some feedback of what’s working well and what needs to be improved on my plans in order to achieve a better result on my project. After that, I can create some visuals of my spaces to enhance the quality of the spaces to my clients and showcase the creativity and inspiration behind these visuals and this will easily make the user experience of my designs much more stronger.
What improvements do you feel are required to promote effective change in the academic and working environment?:
If I want to improve this, I must use the feedback from my tutors or the people that I sat next to in order to achieve this and how this works is that I can be useful for problem-solving and so far it will be able create a change in the working environment. A collaboration between architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture and civil engineering can be a postive factor for this and this is because it allows to save some time managenet to the tasks that I’m focusing on and therefore it can meet the sustainable outcome of the working environment.
