Profession: Creative Support Professional/Executive Assistant

What inspired you to want a life in Architecture and the creative industries?:
I study Accounting, but my heart has always leaned toward creativity and building something meaningful. While numbers taught me discipline and structure, architecture showed me purpose, expression and impact. Growing up, I noticed how environments affect how people live, feel and dream. Some spaces gave hope, while others removed it. That understanding made me realise that architecture is about people, not just buildings. Working remotely as an Executive Assistant has also shaped my interest. I see how planning, organisation and structure create growth and I believe architecture works in the same way, only with space and design.
I want to be part of an industry that shapes lives, communitiesI am inspired by people who come from ordinary backgrounds and still build extraordinary paths. Seeing others succeed without privilege showed me that where you start should not decide where you end.
Who inspired you in finding your path to Architecture/Film and the creative industries?:
I am inspired by people who come from ordinary backgrounds and still build extraordinary paths. Seeing others succeed without privilege showed me that where you start should not decide where you end. I am also inspired by creatives who use their skills to tell stories, build communities, and solve real problems. Their courage to create made me believe that I, too, can create.
How you unlock obstacles and overcome bias in your work?:
I face challenges by choosing progress over fear. I am still learning and growing, but I refuse to let that stop me. As a young woman from a non-traditional background, I have often had to prove my value. I respond by showing up prepared, committed and willing to grow. I choose confidence, self-education and consistency as my tools for survival and success.
What improvements do you feel are required to promote effective change in the academic and working environment?:
Education should be flexible enough to support people who discover their path at different stages of life. Opportunities should not only exist for those who started early or had advantages. Work environments should focus on growth, not just performance. People should be mentored, guided and encouraged not judged for being different or new.
Real change comes when individuals are seen not just for where they are, but for where they are trying to go.
