What inspired you to want a life in Architecture and the creative industries?:
I was working in an economic development for a regional development agency (abolished in 2010) and through site visits for regeneration projects in the East of England and involvement in a masterplan for the town of Watford, i decided to change tack and pursue a career in place based work in the built environment.

the author Jane Jacobs

How you unlock obstacles and overcome bias in your work?:
honest, accurate site assessment to reveal its potential and sharing best practise at pre-application stage.

What improvements do you feel are required to promote effective change in the academic and working environment?:
More resources for focusing on the quality of place and legislation to enforce higher standards in building design.
