What inspired you to want a life in Architecture and the creative industries?
I was inspired to study architecture because I was fascinated by how the built environment can shape behaviours and affect our everyday lives. It combines art with engineering in such a unique way.

Who inspired you in finding your path to Architecture and the creative industries? Peter Cook, who was leading the Masters course I did in the Bartlett, UCL, London. He taught me to always approach design with the enthusiasm of a child.

How you unlock obstacles and overcome bias in your work.By accepting that we make mistakes and providing a safety net for them- how liberating is that? Furthermore, good communication can resolve 99% of problems.

What improvements do you feel are required to promote effective change in the academic and working environment?By inspiring younger students to pursue a career in Engineering regardless their gender, background or how good they are in maths. It’s ok not be good at everything and still become an architect; the profession is so broad, it requires different skills for different phases of a project.
In addition to this, bridging the gap between Academia and the Professional world is extremely important to keep students at university and not drop out. Thankfully, this is already happening with Professional Mentorships, Work Experience Programs, Career Events etc.
